At certain times in our lives we all need someone who has walked in our shoes to just listen and be there. Someone who truly gets us because they have been there and have been through it too.
We know. We get it. And, we care. We don't want you to go through your struggles alone. You don't have too. We can't promise we can fix all of your problems, but we can promise you don't have to face them alone. HOPE Mentors is a free, confidential peer mentoring program wherein peers who are further along in their journey virtually mentor those who aren't yet where they want to be. Our goal is to bring back light, laughter and love into your life, something we all need and deserve. |

Mentorship builds an ongoing relationship of learning, dialogue and challenge. Our mentors come from all walks of life but what they all have in common is that they too are diagnosed with a mental illness and are now living balanced and successful lives. All are clear demonstrations that hope helps and heals.
To the extent we can, we match you with a mentor based on a mentor's strengths and your needs, age and background. Communication modes are determined by you and can start with text or email and then shift to phone, Zoom and so forth. Whatever works for you, works for us. |

"I know you feel really alone - I've been there too - but you don't have to go through this by yourself. Just pick up the phone and talk to somebody. I know it doesn't feel like anything or anybody is going to help, but please trust me. If you can just get yourself through this immediate crisis, it will get more tolerable, not overnight, but with effort we TOGETHER can get you back on your feet again.
I have been where you are and I am still here to tell you this: the reason I started Hope Xchange is because I don't want others to be where you are right now and where I once was. You and I both know no one should have to be. Get through your immediate crisis. Our team can be there for you when you do if you would like a mentor.
Please pick up the phone. Please do it now. Do it for you. Dig deep. You've got this. THEN, WE CAN DO IT TOGETHER. You are not alone." ~ Kerry
