Many who have reached out to Hope Xchange do so on behalf of someone they love who has been diagnosed as bipolar and who are struggling to come to grips with it. We get that not all live in communities with family support groups that may be of benefit and that not everyone is comfortable in a support group setting or have transportation to attend one.
Our new program is in response to this realization and because, in our Hope for Bipolars mentoring program, we often hear that mentee family members are also struggling. We hope to change this. We provide free and confidential one-on-one support to those who want to help their bipolar children, teen or adult loved one but find themselves in need of guidance on how to best help and really be there for someone who is struggling to hold onto hope. |
If you know someone who needs help, please help them. At the very least, please pass along the phone numbers below. Better yet, please sit with them. Hold their hand while they call.
Most people who commit suicide tell someone they are suicidal yet no one listened or took them seriously. You do not want to live with that guilt. Ask yourself, if not me, who? Just do something ... anything. The smallest act of kindness could save a life. With gratitude and blessings. |
