Currently doing freelance work as a Social Media Strategist and illustrator, Lucia is designer and a human being who knows that there is a purpose to her life, and it involves using what she learned (sometimes the hard way) as a means of being of service to others.
She is interested in human right advocacy, working in the fair trade fashion industry, animating and creating media art with a purpose. Lucia is now spreading the love of Hope Xchange through social media, strategic marketing and web design as our mission resonates directly with her personal history with suicide and Bipolar Disorder.

Lucia volunteers because...
When I was growing up, there was a point in my life where I was firmly convinced that I would never make it to my thirties. I felt so trapped and distant to everyone else in the world that I expected nothing else other than the loneliness and failure I thought I deserved.
Hope Xchange is indeed a force of change and I want to join forces because I in fact made it. Despite my mental illness and defects, all of my fears and self-hatred, I found ways to keep on going, to stay and to fight. So, now I want to do everything in my power to help those who feel they cannot pull through find the strength and the means to continue.
