Megan is a Sophomore Sociology major and Art History/Women's & Gender Studies minor at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. As an Ithaca College Park School Peer Mentor, she initiates consistent outreach with mentees and provides a relationship with them that fosters respect and responsibility.
In addition to her coursework, Megan's volunteers with her local advocacy center, Planned Parenthood and Crisis Text Line and takes part in on-campus groups such as Active Minds and Feminists United.
Megan also enjoys writing, art and hanging out with her cat-son, Felix. She plans on pursuing a master's degree in Sociology after graduating from Ithaca College.

I struggle with my own mental health and understand the day-to-day difficulties that accompany living with a mental illness. During previous hospitalizations, I interacted with social workers who changed my perspective on social work and advocacy. Those experiences gave me the desire to be on the ground helping those in need.
